SUZUKI DAY CAMP
Monday, June 23, 2008 - Friday, June 27, 2008
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Greensburg Garden and Civic Center

WHAT: Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Piano, Voice or Guitar lessons, Chamber music,
Chorus, Orchestra, Viola for Violinists, Fiddling, Theory, Arts and Crafts,
and more.

AIM: Day Camp is designed to provide students with a week of concentrated
music study in the philosophy and methods of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
Students do not need to be Suzuki trained to participate.

The daily schedule will consist of individual "Master Class" lessons (several children
scheduled to the one-hour lesson and each one working with the teacher individually
while the others observe), repertoire classes, ensemble and concerts. Games, Arts and
Crafts. String students (approximately age 8 and up) will have Chamber Orchestra,
Small Ensemble or fiddling. Older string students will be assigned to quartets, trios, etc.
depending on ability. Each afternoon special activities will be planned to encourage
listening to more advanced performers or to "let off steam" physically. We hope to have
a balance between work and fun.

The Camp will begin at 8:30 AM. on Monday with registration. The Camp hours will be
from 9:00 AM. - 5:00 PM. Monday through Friday. Each camper should bring a lunch.
Drinks and snacks will be provided by the school.

Tuition is $250.00 per child for students currently enrolled in the school, $280.00 for
students not currently enrolled. The Fees and registration forms must be returned to
Westmoreland Suzuki School of Music by June 16, 2008.

Late registrations will be accepted up to Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Placement of late
registrations will be subject to enrollment.
